Hosting and Processor

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Vercel processes server log data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; Vercel is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Server Logs

When you access this website, technical information is automatically collected by our hosting provider (Vercel). This includes IP address, date and time of request, requested URL, referrer, browser type and version, operating system, and HTTP status code.

Purpose: ensure secure and stable operation of the site. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Retention: on the Hobby plan, runtime logs are kept for approximately 1 hour and then deleted.

Data is processed only by Vercel as our processor. No merging with other data and no use for marketing by us.

Vercel Web Analytics

To measure site usage — such as how many visitors view which pages — we use Vercel Web Analytics, a service of Vercel Inc. (address above). The service is deliberately data-minimizing: it sets no cookies and performs no cross-site tracking. No personal profiles are created, and individual visitors are not identifiable to us.

Vercel collects only aggregated, anonymized metrics — including the page requested, the referrer (the previously visited page), the approximate location (country, region, and city), the operating system, the browser, and the device type. According to Vercel, your IP address is only transiently processed to derive the approximate location and is not stored. To recognize repeat visits within a single day, an anonymous hash is derived from the server request data; it does not allow any conclusions about your identity and is automatically discarded after 24 hours.

Legal basis is our legitimate interest in a needs-based and statistically evaluated design of this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because the analysis works without cookies and without storing or accessing information on your device, no consent under sec. 25 TDDDG is required. As with hosting (see above), the data is transferred to Vercel in the USA; the safeguards stated there apply (EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

Cookies

No non-essential cookies are used; the Vercel Web Analytics described above works without cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.
